People receiving support have the right to safety, dignity, privacy, information and meaningful involvement in decisions.

Your rights include

When working with AUXIO Care, you have the right to:

  • Make choices and stay involved in decisions
  • Be treated with dignity, respect and privacy
  • Receive information in a way you understand
  • Have your culture, identity, values and beliefs respected
  • Choose what personal information you share and understand why it is needed
  • Receive safe, competent support free from violence, abuse, neglect, exploitation and discrimination

Your voice and your options

  • Ask questions and take time before agreeing
  • Have a trusted person, advocate or representative support you
  • Give feedback or make a complaint without being treated unfairly
  • Ask for support arrangements to change
  • End a service agreement or change providers, subject to any agreed notice terms

If something feels wrong

Raise it with AUXIO Care if you feel safe doing so. You can also contact the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission on 1800 035 544 or use its online complaint service. Call 000 if someone is in immediate danger.
